Cinta DDS (DDS Tape)

Digital Data Storage (DDS) es un formato para el almacenamiento de datos, en 1989, Sony y Hewlett Packard se define el formato DDS para el almacenamiento de datos utilizando cartuchos de cinta DAT/DDS utiliza la cinta con un ancho de 3,8 mm con la excepción de la ultima versión DAT 160, que tiene un ancho de 8 mm, existen estos tipos:
DDS-1 DAT año 1989 1.3/2.0 Gb
DDS-2 DAT-8 año 1993 4.0 Gb
DDS-3 DAT-24 año 1996 12.0 Gb
DDS-4 DAT-40 año 1999 20.0 Gb
DDS-5 DAT-72 año 2003 36.0 Gb
DDS-6 DAT-160 año 2007 80 Gb
